Sherri Cooper joined Guests, Inc. in May, 1994 as Host of Howard Johnson in Warrenton, Virginia. In 1995, she received the Host of the Year award for her fine leadership of the staff at the Warrenton Howard Johnson. She was transferred to the Hampton Inn in Albemarle, North Carolina at the time of acquisition in 1996 and later transferred in 1997 to the Comfort Inn in Warrenton, Virginia. In 1999 Sherri received the prestigious Total Quality Property award for her leadership of the staff at the Warrenton Comfort Inn and the increase in revenue. In 2000, Sherri received the Total Quality Property award again for her leadership of the staff of the Leesburg Best Western. Since October, 1999-2001 Sherri managed the 99-unit Best Western in Leesburg, Virginia, and served as Regional Director for the Comfort Inns in Staunton, Woodstock, and Charlottesville, Virginia and the Four Points by Sheraton in Hagerstown, MD. Since February 2007 Sherri is a Regional Director of Comfort Inns in Staunton, Charlottesville, Woodstock, Richmond and Best Westerns in Leesburg and Four Points Sheraton Hagerstown, MD.
Mrs. Cooper's prior experience includes managing the Super 8 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The Harrisonburg Super 8 was recognized in the top ten of the Super 8 motels in the United States under Sherri's management.
Under Sherri's leadership, the Best Western in Leesburg received the Best Western Chairman's award. This award is only given to the top one percent of the 2,000+ Best Western hotels. The hotel received consecutive perfect quality assurance scores from Best Western. The Leesburg Best Western was just voted the "Best Lodging Value" in Leesburg by readers of the Leesburg Today newspaper.
